With the new 4.0 release, Streamvisor continues to build on Pulsars strength while at the same time filling important gaps.
This release focuses on providing even more security through a new audit trail, as well as improving operations with a new single-click message reproduce feature. Let's take a look what's new!
Pulsar environments often span teams and services, with many operations. Without a built-in audit trail, it's hard to trace who did what and when. This can be critical when troubleshooting or during security incidents.
The new audit log UI allows you to track who made changes, to which environment and what operation. You can also filter and search to quickly find what you are looking for.
While Pulsar supports cursor rewinds for subscription-based replay, it doesn't help when you want to resend a specific message, edit the payload, or route it to a different topic. Especially for testing, debugging or ad-hoc processing use cases.
With Streamvisor 4.0, you can re-produce any previous message with just one click, modify the payload if needed, and event send it into a different topic. No scripts or filtering gymnastics needed, all from the UI.
A better UI reduces friction, especially for users new to Pulsar. As we focus on continually improving this release contains a bunch of visual improvements too.
Just to name one example, when viewing message backlogs we now also show progress bars, so you can see at a glance how your consumers are progressing.
