We are excited to announce the new Streamvisor 1.1 release!

As we strive to provide the best-in-class Apache Pulsar platform for Enterprise, this release focuses especially on the requirements of larger organizations.

With RBAC and OpenShift compatibility, having a secure yet accessible Pulsar installation becomes a reality. Let’s take a look what’s new!

RBAC

Streamvisor now offers fine-grained, resource-level permission management.
To control who can access your Pulsar resources you can create groups and assign permissions.
In order to meet your needs, resource permissions are designed with flexibility in mind, allowing wildcard expressions to match multiple resources or for example just certain topics with a prefix.
When it comes to access control, granularity is important too, so we made sure that you can restrict all aspects of your resources, whether it means consuming a topic, creating schemas, or managing a subscription.

RBAC is available in Streamvisor Enterprise edition. If you want more information about this feature, please refer to the documentation or see it in action in this demo video:

RedHat OpenShift compatibility

Enterprise organizations often choose to run their applications on OpenShift.
With strong support and security controls in place it has become an industry standard for cloud-native applications.
In order to bring the best Pulsar platform to the best Kubernetes distribution, our Docker image and Helm chart are now adapted to support running on OpenShift out of the box.

Deletion of non-empty Tenants

Sometimes deleting topics one-by-one can be cumbersome and, we get it, you don’t want to change your broker settings to allow force deletions.
When deleting a namespace or tenant, Streamvisor now deletes all the sub-resources for you, so you can have more time to focus on important tasks.

Improved Docker Image

In addition to providing out of the box support for OpenShift, we improved the size of our Docker image and fixed some smaller issues to improve the user experience.

Give it a try!

We have a free community version available for you to try right now. Head over here and give it a try!

Enterprise features are available to paid customers only. If you are interested in scheduling a demo, please leave us a message.
